A Benefit for Second Harvest Food Bank

Honeys & Heroes along with the Parents Club of Palo Alto and Menlo Park (PAMP)are holding a day long event to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank on December 4th.

All the food collected will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties to help the organization reach its goal of collecting 1.7 million pounds of food donations for its 2008 Holiday Food & Fun Drive.

Parents and their kids are encouraged to bring canned goods to the store for donation to Second Harvest. In recognition of their generosity, everyone attending will receive 25% off all purchases made at Honeys & Heroes on Thursday, December 4. Santa will be at the store during part of the day taking free photos with kids.

The benefit will be held on December 4, from 10am – 6pm, at Honeys & Heroes, located in the Town & Country Mall, 855 El Camino, Palo Alto. Santa will be at the store taking photos with kids from 11:00am – 1:30pm.

Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day. The prizes have been donated by local retailers including Ambassador Toys, Books Inc. and Sprinkles Cupcakes.

I’m so excited about our collection of colored bottoms for fall. We’ve got denim and cords in new washes, colors and fabrics. I’m especially crazy about these red Quiksilver jeans for boys and these lavender Seven For All Mankinds for girls. Also make sure you don't miss out on the new knit jeans from Pinc Premium. They are comfy and casually cool. Pair any of these bottoms with your favorite tee and you are hip to hit the streets or the playground.

A customer asked me recently: Why didn’t I carry a certain high end brand of jeans? I told her that the number one thing I look for in a denim or cord is fit. I’ve found over the years that fit doesn’t always mean expensive. We’ve got great brands at all price points, starting as low as $44. So the good news is that you don’t have to spend a ton of money to get a super stylish pair of denim or cords for your kids.
