Things To Do This Memorial Day

Monday, May 30th

  • 10:30 a.m. The 142nd San Francisco Memorial Day Ceremony. The event begins with a parade of veterans. Guests include San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, members of the board of supervisors, Rep. Jackie Speier, D-San Mateo/San Francisco, Sen. Leland Yee, D-San Francisco, and others. Parade of veterans to begin at the Main Post Parade Ground in San Francisco's Presidio. The parade will continue to the National Cemetery, 1 Lincoln Blvd. Main Post Parade Ground, Montgomery Street and Sheridan Avenue, San Francisco

  • 12:30 p.m. Pre-game ceremony before the Giants-Rockies game on Memorial Day to celebrate the fifth anniversary of "Strikeout For Troops," founded by Barry Zito. Zito and Giants teammates will join active duty military personnel and veterans on the field. AT&T
  • 9:00am - 1:00pm: Teatro Zinzanni Monday Funday- Tightrope and balance beam, Pier 29, The Embarcadero, San Francisco.
  • 12:00 – 3:30 pm: Memorial Day Farm Fun Open House, Tilden Nature Area, Berkeley- FREE
  • 10am – 4pm- FREE Day Open House on Memorial Day on the farm, Ardenwood Historical Farm, 34600 Ardenwood Blvd, Fremont
  • 12:00pm – 4:30pm: Mine Open House, Black Diamond Mines, Somersville Road Antioch
  • 10am – 4pm: Family Fun Memorial Day at the Crab Cove Center, 1252 McKay, Alameda
  • 10:30: Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade, Old Mill School on Throckmorton Ave to Tamalpais High, FREE
